François Berthoud


François Berthoud was born in Switzerland and graduated in graphic design in Lausanne. He then moved to Milan to work for Conde Nast Italy. In the mid 80's he started working for himself, developing his highly recognizable style with his fashion illustrations and distinguishing himself through his ability to unite the language of graphics and painting. His early work has been published by Vanity directed by Anna Piaggi, and then in Numero, The NewYorker, Harper's Bazaar, The New York Times Magazine, Mixte, V magazine, Amica, Uomo Vogue, Vogue Italy, Vogue Nippon, Visionaire. His work has been exhibited worldwide in solo and group shows and has appeared in many reference books. Francois Berthoud lives and works in Milan and New York.
