"The Milano Duomo is no doubt a significant icon, which can represent the city. But to live in the city is different from just visiting it. Of course Milan is much more than just the Duomo. As time past during the days I live in Milan, the icon of Duomo started to shrink in my mind since I have been experiencing a lot more in the city. This is expressed by the gradual reduction of an outline of Duomo in my Moleskine notebook. All the outlines are also the growth rings , which indicates the age of this Moleskine notebook of mine as well as this period of life of mine in Milan. At the last page where the Duomo almost shrank to a dot, it doesn't mean that Duomo is fading out my sight but goes deep in my heart, because that was exactly the day I went up in Duomo and just found out the true shape of Milan still lay there, I couldn't tell it because I myself is in the city.."
